In traditional Tibetan medicine there is surprisingly advanced knowledge on the formation and development of the human embryo, which seems to precede by more than a century that developed by Western medicine.
In this meeting we will talk about the formation of the “precious human body” according to the vision of this ancient science and the integration of its knowledge with Buddhist thought.
About the Speaker
Luigi Vitiello is a doctor and psychotherapist and has a Master’s degree in Spiritual Accompaniment in illness and death. He has been a student of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu since 1977 and under him he trained as a teacher of Yantra Yoga and Meditation. He received teachings on Tibetan medicine from Chögyal Namkhai Norbu, Dr. Pasang Yonten and Prof. Tubten Phuntsog. He was in charge of the Tibetan Medicine Section of the Shang Shung International Institute of Tibetan Studies, of which he later was director. He is the author of various articles on Tibetan medicine and psychotherapy topics. He holds seminars and courses on these topics, on meditation and on aspects related to the end of life in the vision of Vajrayana Buddhism and Western psychology. He lives between Naples and Arcidosso.
